Hi, I’m Harold Reimer. My wife, Bernice and I, came to Vauxhall in March of 2016. I(we) come from a farming background, from the area of Coaldale, AB. Bible School, following High School, was a life transforming experience. I graduated from Prairie Bible Institute in 1981, staying on an extra year, involved in PR for the School. Following this, I launched into an Ag related business, during which time, God brought Bernice into my life, also a graduate of Prairie. We were married in 1985, and three months later began winding down the business, as God moved us into Pastoral ministry. Our journey here, has included pastoring three different Churches, further studies as married students, and a stint at farming in between. We are excited that God has joined us to the Vauxhall MB Church, in what He is doing in this community.
My passion is preaching and teaching God's Word, and connecting with people. It is invigorating to teach the Bible and see it impact lives, leading them into a deepening relationship with Jesus Christ.
We have five children and seven grand-children. My grandkids have a way of bringing the kid out in me, putting a smile on my face every time I see them.
I also enjoy restoration of vehicles, woodworking, a good book, and pondering great mysteries like the Gospel.
Paul`s purpose statement from Colossians 1:28,29 resonates deeply with me, “(Jesus) is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ. To this end I strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me.”
I've been serving here at Vauxhall MB Church since August 2011. I've been blessed to lead the youth program as a main area of responsibility as well as lead Bible studies, teach Adult Sunday School, and preach. It's been so great to experience fellowship and friendship with so many people here! I have a BA in Biblical and Theological Studies from Bethany College and my greatest area of passion lately is in the area of discipleship and missional community - how can we grow together into Christ-likeness?
I am also greatly blessed to be married to my wife Kelsey! We have been married since June 2007. We have two beautiful daughters: Jubilee (born August 2012) and Adelynn (born October 2014). We love having people over and doing ministry together!
When not Pastoring I enjoy playing sports (basketball in particular), playing boardgames with friends, and just hanging out with people!
